In today’s world of aesthetics, it’s no longer enough to simply create beauty — it’s about shaping an environment where a person feels confident in their own skin. This is the philosophy embraced by Diana Ukrainets, co-owner of Proesthetician Spa in Illinois and a specialist who seamlessly combines expertise, aesthetics, and a distinct vision of modern beauty. Born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, Diana has built a journey from an ambitious young woman with big dreams to an entrepreneur who has created her own aesthetic space in the United States. Today, her work goes far beyond skincare — it’s about transforming how people feel about themselves.
In this conversation, Diana shares her story, reflects on building her business, speaks about the power of feminine energy, and explains why true aesthetics is always more than just beauty.
1. You were born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. What were you like as a child, and did you already feel those leadership qualities within yourself?
I remember my childhood with great warmth. I was a very active and curious child — always creating, organizing, and being around people. I naturally took initiative, whether at school or among friends. Looking back, I believe those leadership qualities were already there. I’ve always been driven to grow, set goals, and inspire others.
2. Your professional journey began in medicine. How did that background shape your perspective on aesthetics and beauty?
My medical education taught me to see skin not just from an aesthetic perspective, but first and foremost through the lens of health. I approach aesthetics as a combination of science, knowledge, and a highly personalized approach.
For me, it’s not about simply performing a procedure — it’s about understanding the root cause of a concern and helping the skin restore itself in a natural, healthy way. That’s why my work places strong emphasis on diagnostics, customized treatment plans, and professional skincare.
3. When you moved to the United States, what was the biggest challenge for you professionally?
Starting over was the biggest challenge. A new country, a different system, new standards in the beauty industry — and the need to rebuild my professional reputation from scratch.
At the same time, it became a powerful source of motivation. I invested heavily in education, adapted to the American market, and gradually built my client base. That experience made me stronger and reinforced my belief that if you truly love what you do and stay consistent, results will follow.
4. Was there a moment when you realized you wanted to create your own space rather than just work within the industry?
Yes, absolutely. At a certain point, I realized I didn’t just want to be part of the beauty industry — I wanted to create something of my own. A space that reflects my vision of quality, aesthetics, and client care.
I wanted to build an environment where advanced technology, proper skincare, and a refined atmosphere come together — a place where people feel truly valued.
5. Today, you are the co-owner of Proesthetician Spa. How did the idea for this space come to life?
The idea behind Proesthetician Spa came from a strong desire to create a space where professionalism, advanced technology, and genuine care for the client coexist.
We envisioned a place where aesthetics is not just about treatments, but about a comprehensive approach to skin health and beauty. Step by step, that vision became reality — from our first clients to building a team, integrating new technologies, and expanding our services.
Today, Proesthetician Spa is a space where we help people look and feel confident while preserving their natural beauty.
6. What sets your approach to aesthetics apart from what most beauty spaces offer today?
My approach is deeply rooted in understanding the skin and prioritizing its health. For me, aesthetics is not about quick fixes or trending treatments — it’s about long-term, thoughtful work with the skin.
I always begin with a thorough analysis of the client’s needs, develop personalized protocols, and combine advanced technologies with professional skincare to achieve sustainable results.
7. Advanced technologies and aesthetic treatments play a major role in your work. Why do you believe this is the future of the industry?
Advanced technologies are redefining what’s possible in aesthetics. Today, we can work with the skin on a much deeper level while maintaining natural results and minimal downtime.
That’s why I truly believe this direction represents the future of the industry. These technologies allow us to address a wide range of concerns — from acne and pigmentation to signs of aging — with greater precision, safety, and predictability.
8. You won a professional competition and had the opportunity to study in Paris with Biologique Recherche. How important was that experience for your growth?
That experience was incredibly meaningful and inspiring. Winning the competition and studying in Paris with Biologique Recherche was a great honor.
It gave me deeper knowledge, a more refined understanding of the skin, and even more motivation to grow professionally. It’s the kind of experience that elevates your standards and shapes your level as a specialist.
9. Having worked with thousands of clients, what do people truly seek when they come to an aesthetic specialist?
Over the years, I’ve realized that people don’t just come for a treatment. They’re looking for confidence, a sense of care, and inner balance.
Very often, it’s about trust — knowing that they will be understood, guided correctly, and supported in solving their concerns. For me, it’s important that every client leaves not only with healthier skin, but also feeling more confident and cared for.
10. You actively build your personal brand on social media. How important is visibility for a modern beauty entrepreneur?
Today, visibility and personal branding are essential in the beauty industry. Social media allows you not only to showcase your work, but also to share your knowledge, philosophy, and approach.
For clients, it’s a way to connect with a specialist, understand their standards, and feel the atmosphere of their brand. For an entrepreneur, it’s also a powerful marketing tool.
11. How do you balance expertise, business, and femininity within your brand?
For me, it’s a natural balance because these elements are deeply connected. Expertise is about knowledge and continuous growth. Business is about responsibility and strategy. Femininity is about aesthetics, intuition, and care.
That balance is what defines my brand.
12. Looking a few years ahead, how do you see yourself and your brand evolving?
In the future, I see myself as a recognized expert in aesthetic cosmetology. I want Proesthetician Spa to grow, continue working with the most advanced technologies, and build a strong community of clients who trust our approach to beauty and quality.
